Sperm

An installation developed in a repurposed space of the Nakagin Capsule Tower, completed in 1972, taking inspiration from Kisho Kurokawa's words: "While buildings themselves may age and disappear, thoughts remain eternal." By transforming it into an immersive space inspired by binary code—the universal language of the cosmos—and the 1974 "Arecibo Message," the work fuses the architect's vision of the near future with the contemporaneity of the post-internet age.

黒川紀章の「建築自体はいずれ古びて無くなるものであるが、思想は永遠に残る」という言葉を起点に、1972年竣工の中銀カプセルタワービルを再活用したスペースで展開されたインスタレーション。宇宙の普遍言語であるバイナリーコードと1974年の「アレシボ・メッセージ」から着想を得た没入的な空間へと変容させることで、建築家が描いた近未来像とポスト・インターネット時代の現代性を融合させた。
